"You Can Write Hit Songs"
In this three-hour workshop, you'll go through the process of writing a song from start to finish. Learn how to write powerful lyrics, create memorable melodies, and use 'ghost songs' as patterns for writing your own original songs in any style. Class materials include a 45-page book of worksheets, examples, step-by-step instructions, and valuable resources plus a CD of instrumental tracks for practice in writing melodies and lyrics. You'll learn about copyright basics, how to make a good demo on a small budget, how royalties are collected and distributed, what a publisher does, how to be your own publisher, and, most importantly, how to get your songs to the people who count - the publishers and producers who can get your songs recorded.
